Micrometals 200C SeriesTM of magnetic alloy materials are specifically designed for severe environment applications where cores are exposed to or generate elevated temperatures.
These cost-competitive core materials are not subject to thermal aging for operating temperatures of up to +200 C. The actual Revision B of the catalog is a continuation of the dynamic evolution of 200 C SeriesTM. It introduces a new material into the 60 family of materials (-61 Material.), uptdates the -70 Material corelosses and officially launches the M Series of molypermalloy powder (MPP) core materials.

Iron Powder as a core material has been widely used in RF applications for years. The distributed air gap properties inherent in iron powder cores also make them extremely well-suited for a variety of energy storage inductor applications.
Iron powder is a cost-effective design alternative to molypermalloy powder (MPP), high flux, or sendust cores. It can also be used in place of ferrites and iron-alloy laminations requiring a gap.

  • Plain cores
  • Bobbin Assemblies
  • Hollow cores
  • Discs

Power Conversion products:
  • Toroids cores
  • Composites cores
  • Bus bar cores
  • E cores (EF cores, EM cores)

Iron powder has been used as a core material in RF circuits for many years.
It is typically used to produce high "Q" inductors from 50 kHz to 500 MHz and bradband transformers above 50 MHz. It is a preferred core material due to its stability, high "Q", frequency response, and power handling capabilities. RF application products :
  • RF toroids
  • Balun cores
  • Plain cores
  • Hollow cores
  • Sleeves
  • Threaded cores
  • Cups
  • Discs
  • Rectangular Toroids
  • Squared bobbins
