Toshiba pioneered the development of Co-based amorphous (non-crystalline) magnetic alloys for electronic applications. Toshiba offers amorphous magnetic cores for noise suppression, mag-amps and pulse transformers.

Amorphous Magnetic

Key applications include switching power supplies, noise sensitive equipment, medical instruments and telecommunications.

Improvements in magnetic properties have resulted from Toshibas commitment to research & development. Toshiba continues its R&D programs to further improve the properties of the amorphous alloys and the magnetic components made from them.

ACP Multiam Alloy

The new Multiam ACP211 Fe based amorphous alloy is characterised by multiphase amorphous structure, amorphous nanosize aggregations (1-3nm) and different composition and lower watt loss at high frequencies up to 200kHz.

ACP 210 DP
ACP
High Frequency Distributed Gap Cores.ACP 210 DP choke cores made from Fe-Based AMT210 amorphous ribbon are reliable and effective at high frequencies (up to hundreds kHz).
Due to the unique properties of the Fe-based amorphous alloys, these cores allow considerable reduction in dimension of the magnetic components and overheating. They can operate at higher DC bias levels compared with conventional materials.
